Meet David
David Blount represents District 29 (Hinds County including parts of Jackson, Byram, and Terry) in the Mississippi Senate. He is Vice Chairman of the Senate Democratic Caucus.
David is an 8th-generation Mississippian. He and his wife, Katie, have two children, Susanna and Charley. They are active in their church, neighborhood, and the community.
Senator Blount is Chairman of the Senate Gaming Committee. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Senate Education Committee and as a member of the Elections; Finance; Accountability Efficiency & Transparency; Highways & Transportation; Public Property; Universities & Colleges; Medicaid; and Public Health & Welfare Committees.
David is the son of Richard and Martha Blount of Jackson.
